In this discussion, we bring together both the human lived experience of Syrian newcomers to Scotland, with the grounded legal and political knowledge of those working to improve conditions for asylum, hoping to provide a well-rounded reflection of what it means to be a New Scot, at a time when borders are closing, government policies are growing evermore hostile, and support is increasingly hard to access due to restrictions.
