Before you make a referral, please check out our legal factsheets and our legal helplines & surgeries to see if they can help you with your query.
We are only able to accept referrals in the areas in which we provide legal advice:
- Our Scottish Women’s Rights Centre supports women aged 16 and over who have been affected by violence and abuse in Scotland.
- Our Scottish Refugee & Migrant Centre works with asylum seekers, refugees and migrants who are women or children, or who are destitute, or who are seeking advice on a family reunion matter.
- Our Scottish Anti-Trafficking & Exploitation Centre supports survivors of trafficking and labour exploitation.
- Our Scottish Just Law Centre works on strategic cases having to do with inequality and disability or trans justice, only taking referrals from organisations (not individuals).
If your legal matter does not fall within any of the above areas of work, we are unlikely to be able to help you, and suggest that you contact the Law Society of Scotland’s Find a Solicitor service to help you find a lawyer who can help. If your referral is outside our areas of work, we may not be able to respond to you.
If you think that your legal matter falls within one of our areas of work, please complete the referral form below.
We do not run an urgent or emergency referral service, and it may take our team up to 14 days to contact you if we are able to accept your referral. If you are at imminent risk of harm, please do not make a referral to us here – instead contact Emergency Services by dialling 999.
