Iain is a Legal Caseworker at the Scottish Just Law Centre (SJLC).
He graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BA in History and then spent nearly ten years working in various roles in the hospitality and beverage production industries across the UK, Australia, and Canada. Eventually, Iain decided to change his career to fulfill a long-held desire to help people, particularly in the field of human rights. In 2024, he graduated from the University of Glasgow with a Scots Law LLB (Hons).
During his studies, he worked at a local immigration and asylum firm, where his responsibilities included administrative tasks, paralegal work, and accounting duties. He also began volunteering with the Maryhill Integration Network (MIN), where he is now a trustee.
Iain has a keen interest in all aspects of JustRight Scotland’s work, with a particular passion for advocating for increased access to justice. He continues to volunteer with the Maryhill Integration Network and maintains a strong interest in migrants’ rights.
