JustRight Scotland (JRS) has hosted the Worker Support Centre (WSC) for its first six months of operation from May 2022 to October 2022 as part of a long-term plan focused on providing initial assistance to incubate the Centre to allow it to become a stand-alone project. This approach has enabled this service to grow into an established project across the country.
During this first operational period, the team at the Worker Support Centre has helped over 111 individuals to access information, support and advice demonstrating the high need for this service for workers on the Seasonal Worker Visa (SWV) in horticulture in Scotland.
This service is now in a transitional phase as it will be part of a new organisational structure through which information, support and advice will be available from the start of 2023. This will enable the WSC to deliver support for these workers long into the future, ensuring a sustainable service for migrant workers in need.
